Fair Housing Act, real estate licensees must ensure that their residential real estate activities do not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex and national origin. The Fair Housing Amendments Act of 1988 expanded the prohibition against unlawful discrimination to include two additional protected classes: handicap, both mental and physical, and familial status.
